Problem/Opportunity

It’s not every day you get the opportunity to work with someone with the vision to transform golf and create the ultimate indoor golf experience from the ground up. It was a privilege to help express the client’s vision creatively as he worked with architects and interior designers in Sydney to create the space that golf’s been missing – GolfSpace.

Strategy

As GolfSpace merged the best of purpose-built design with the latest state-of-the-art virtual golf technologies, our strategy was to use 3D + live-action video to replicate the high-tech experience for golfers.

Photography

We carried out a multi-day photography and video shoot featuring a variety of golfers at the prestigious Bonnie Doon Golf Club in Sydney. We also shot live-action footage at a state-of-the-art greenscreen studio which was later combined with 3D animation to simulate the cutting-edge technology at GolfSpace.

3D animation

Long before GolfSpace had even begun construction, we needed to develop a suite of high-energy, stylised, 3D-animated videos to generate interest and convey the vision for GolfSpace. The result was a combination of abstract golf-related imagery plus live-action golfers in futuristic settings.

Interior Design

Once the GolfSpace experience started to come together, we ensured the branding flowed through to all aspects of the interior design – from the imagery displayed on screens throughout the venue to the larger-than-life prints covering the vast interior.

Ecommerce Website

We designed and build a custom website for GolfSpace which showcased the innovative experience and wide array of membership options available. This included extensive work on customising the Gymmaster portal, which provided a specialised portal for members to book and pay for sessions, coaching, gift vouchers and memberships.
